What is the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA)?
A Pontifical Mission Society
The purpose of the Pontifical Mission Societies is the promotion of a universal missionary spirit among the People of God – a spirit of prayer and sacrifice.
Our group at the St. John’s Primary Catholic Primary School consists of 15 members from Grades 1 to 4. We meet every Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm to pray, sing, offer contributions, and discuss qualities like obedience, kindness, tolerance, and love through biblical stories and songs.
Each year we hold a day of prayer and recollection during Lent, a ‘fun trip’ at year’s end, and visit at least four community members per term.

Our Holy Childhood Group went to the Cabrits National Park for reflection and prayer, focusing on the first five Stations of the Cross.
